Convert BMP to JPG

Uncompressed bitmap photos can be inconvenient to email or use with a JPEG-only service. Converting a BMP to JPG is a practical way to make a delivery copy when exact pixel values are not the goal.

Compression changes the pixel values

JPEG is lossy, so the output can differ from the decoded BMP, particularly around high-contrast edges. A grayscale BMP remains visually grayscale; conversion cannot invent missing colors. Avoid JPEG for measurement masks or test patterns if downstream software relies on exact intensities.

Convert with Winzerk

Add your BMP files, choose JPG, and adjust Quality. Select Convert All and inspect a downloaded result at full size. Download the rest individually or use the ZIP option for a batch.

Use PNG when precision matters more

For line drawings, screenshots, or technical rasters, PNG avoids a new lossy compression stage. Winzerk relies on the browser to decode BMP input, so an unusual BMP variant might not open even though its extension is .bmp. Keep the original and test a representative file before converting a large legacy archive. If the BMP decodes with transparency, JPEG export composites it onto white. Winzerk does not upload your bitmap files during conversion.
