Convert PNG to JPG
A photographic PNG can be unnecessarily large for email or an upload form that asks for JPEG. Converting it to JPG lets you trade some image detail for a more compact delivery file. Actual file size depends on the image and quality setting.
Transparency becomes a white background
JPEG cannot store an alpha channel. Winzerk places the PNG on white before saving it as JPG. Fully transparent areas become white and partially transparent edges blend with white. Preview the result if a logo was designed to sit on a dark background.
Convert with Winzerk
Add PNG files, choose JPG, and set Quality. Click Convert All, then download the JPEGs. For a batch, use Download All as ZIP and extract the files before attaching them elsewhere.
Photos and screenshots need different choices
JPEG compression works well for many photographs, but it can create halos or block artifacts around small text, diagrams, and sharp colored edges. Keep screenshots and flat graphics as PNG when clarity matters more than size. If you need to fit within maximum dimensions, proportional resizing avoids distortion; do not stretch a screenshot just to reduce its file size. All conversion runs locally in your browser, with no image upload to Winzerk.
