Convert HEIC to BMP
Some older desktop and industrial applications accept BMP imports but do not understand HEIC. Winzerk decodes HEIC locally, then writes an uncompressed BMP from the rendered image. Choose this route when the receiving system actually requires BMP.
Choose grayscale or color deliberately
BMP defaults to 8-bit grayscale in Winzerk. That output uses a 256-entry gray palette and removes color. Select 24-bit color if the target application needs a color photograph. A grayscale bitmap is not the same as raw camera sensor data, and converting a phone image does not make it a calibrated measurement.
Convert with Winzerk
Add HEIC or HEIF images, choose BMP, and select either 8-bit grayscale or 24-bit color in BMP color. Set resizing only if required, then select Convert All. Download the BMPs or a batch ZIP.
Match the receiving system
If the importer requires a fixed width and height, use Exact dimensions and supply both values. This can stretch the image, so check the aspect ratio first. Nearest pixel avoids blending during resizing; Smooth interpolates neighboring pixels. BMP files can be large because this export is uncompressed. Test one file with the target software before converting an entire collection; BMP support varies between applications.
Your photos are decoded and converted locally in your browser, not uploaded to Winzerk. Large HEIC collections may work better in smaller batches. Keep your originals and verify the downloads before deleting anything.
